The Department of Theatre and Film Studies of Palacký University Olomouc, in collaboration with the Flora Theatre Festival, invites you to apply for the international workshop Performing Central Europe: Flora Theatre Festival Olomouc.

About the programme:
This five-day international Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) takes place during the Flora Theatre Festival, an international theatre festival. Led by Czech and foreign tutors, the programme combines analytical seminars, practice-based laboratories, artist talks, and collective reflection on festival performances. Its aim is to develop analytical and collaborative skills while fostering tolerance, cross-border exchange, and resilience within the Central European academic and artistic community.
Conditions for students:
Eligibility: Students at all levels of theatre/performance studies and related practical fields
Language of instruction: English
Credits: 3 ECTS (upon active participation, short outputs such as text or audio, and attendance at online sessions (pre-planned within a time frame: 20–24 April 2026: Kick-off/Pre-departure, 1–5 June 2026: Debrief)
Funding: Festival tickets and catering at welcome and good-bye session are covered by the home institution via Erasmus+ (BIP)
Content & accessibility: Analytical seminars, practice-based labs, artist talks; daily attendance at up to two performances, depending on the festival schedule
Important note:
UP students (or students not accepted into the BIP programme) may also apply for the FloraLab, either as a whole or for its second part (Wednesday 20 – Sunday 24 May). The BIP programme and FloraLab cannot be combined.
